I am Jaume Freire González, a Beatriu de Pinós researcher at ENT Foundation. I hold a PhD in Applied Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Environmental Change Institute of the University of Oxford and at the Department of Economics of Harvard University with a Marie Curie Fellowship. I have also worked as a consultant for many governments and institutions. I conduct both theoretical and empirical research on several issues related to environmental and ecological economics, but my main areas of work are energy and climate change economics, environmental taxation and water economics. I assess environmental policies, from an academic and a policy-making perspective.
I was awarded with a Beatriu de Pinós Fellowship by the Catalan Government to investigate on the Jevons' paradox at ENT Foundation.
